Meet Dr. Martin Wiese
Dr. Martin Wiese, based in Kelkheim (just outside Frankfurt am Main), Germany, is an esteemed hernia surgeon with over three decades of experience in the field of abdominal surgery. Annually, he undertakes more than 500 hernia operations. Beyond his surgical work, Dr. Wiese is dedicated to advancing the profession. He regularly does this by offering observerships to share his specialised operation techniques and knowledge, to fellow surgeons and by contributing and speaking at hernia congresses. In 2021, his reputation saw him serve as the convention president for the annual gathering of the German Hernia Society, held in Frankfurt am Main.

Our clinic in Kelkheim is conveniently situated near Frankfurt am Main Airport (FRA), making it easily accessible for our patients. The airport is just a short drive away, ensuring a smooth journey to our facility. Upon landing, you can choose from several transportation options, including taxis or public transport.
We do not recommend flying to Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN), as it is over 120 km (75 miles) away from our clinic. The distance and lack of convenient transport options can make the journey long and complicated, so we advise choosing Frankfurt am Main Airport (FRA) for a smoother experience.

While driving to our clinic is a feasible option, it’s important to remember that post-operation, driving is not advisable for your safety and recovery. We do not provide a transfer service to and from Frankfurt Airport due to our clinic’s convenient proximity. For your ease, we recommend taking a regular taxi, which is the simplest way to reach us. The fare is typically around €40 to 50.
