The last checks

The day before the operation, you have a consultation/examination with the surgeon. The surgeon will run a number of tests to see if you are fit enough to undergo surgery. You also have time to ask anything you like.

After the operation

 After the operation you can easily walk
√ The wound is about 2 to 3 cm

To receive after care you stay in the area of the clinic. After 3 nights you are fit enough to travel back home.

Inguinal hernia – 3 nights
Bilateral hernia – 5 nights

Recovery

 Pain level: low to moderate
 After one week you can resume driving/light work
√ After four weeks you can resume all activities (heavy work, sports)

An inguinal hernia operation is a minimal procedure that allows you to return to work relatively quickly. After one week you can go back to work, remember that you can not lift objects of more than 10KG until you fully recover after four weeks.

  You don’t drink or smoke excessively 

  You are not obese
